The name comes from Saint Roch, known in Venice and throughout Italy as a protector and guardian during times of hardship. In Venice, the Scuola Grande di San Rocco became one of the city’s most celebrated landmarks, filled with dramatic craftsmanship, artistry, and attention to detail that has lasted for centuries.

That idea stayed with me.
